The trendy restaurant The East Pole is a breath of fresh air in the midst of Upper East Side’s classic and traditional eateries. I’ve been to this place a few times for brunch and I loved it. It’s an intimate restaurant and all dishes are made of organic and farm friendly local ingredients. Try their smashed avocado sandwich, it’s so delicious! The back of the menu shows a map of NYC that illustrates where the restaurant gets their ingredients like cheese, meats and vegetables from. Don’t get discouraged if, at first sight, the place looks crowded. They’ve got a second floor with more tables and a beautiful bar. Tip: make a reservation, it’s a popular place!
