The Mercer Kitchen is always a good idea for breakfast, lunch or dinner. It’s part of the successful Jean-Georges’ restaurant group. The restaurant offers a sophisticated vibe in the heart of SoHo. It may seem small on the outside, but the restaurant itself is located on the ground floor and in the spacious basement. For breakfast and lunch I prefer one of the very few tables near the entrance on the ground floor, instead of the basement as the basement is (obviously) very dark, and the tables on the ground floor have beautiful windows with a lot of day light. Fun fact: you can enter the Mercer Hotel lounge through The Mercer Kitchen’s restaurant on the ground floor. I spotted many celebrities in this lounge of The Mercer Hotel, like Elton John, Doutzen Kroes, the Olsen Twins, Kayne West, Marc Jacobs, Nicole Kidman, Adam Levine and the beautiful Eva Mendes. The lounge is officially only reserved for hotel guests, but the staff usually don’t mind when you take a seat there.

When I go to SOHO, I like to go right at 10am when the stores open. Get what I need really fast and then get pancakes at the Mercer, so delicious.
